- εἴ γε ἠκούσατε τὴν οἰκονομίαν τῆς χάριτος τοῦ θεοῦ τῆς δοθείσης μοι εἰς ὑμᾶς· now you’ve heard of the plan of God’s grace that was given to me for you,
- κατὰ ἀποκάλυψιν ἐγνωρίσθη μοι τὸ μυστήριον, that by revelation the mystery was made known to me,
καθὼς προέγραψα ἐν ὀλίγῳ, just as I have briefly written above.
- πρὸς ὃ δύνασθε ἀναγινώσκοντες νοῆσαι by which you are able to understand
τὴν σύνεσίν μου ἐν τῷ μυστηρίῳ τοῦ Χριστοῦ, my insight into the mystery of Christ,
- ὃ ἑτέραις γενεαῖς οὐκ ἐγνωρίσθη τοῖς υἱοῖς τῶν ἀνθρώπων which in other generations was not made known to humanity
ὡς νῦν ἀπεκαλύφθη τοῖς ἁγίοις ἀποστόλοις αὐτοῦ καὶ προφήταις ἐν πνεύματι, as now it has been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit.
- εἶναι τὰ ἔθνη συγκληρονόμα καὶ σύσσωμα καὶ συμμέτοχα τῆς ἐπαγγελίας That the Gentiles are heirs together, and sharers together of a body, and sharers together of the promise
ἐν Χριστῷ Ἰησοῦ διὰ τοῦ εὐαγγελίου, in Christ Jesus through the gospel.
- οὗ ἐγενήθην διάκονος of which I was made a servant
κατὰ τὴν δωρεὰν τῆς χάριτος τοῦ θεοῦ τῆς δοθείσης μοι according to the gift of God’s grace, which was given to me
κατὰ τὴν ἐνέργειαν τῆς δυνάμεως αὐτοῦ— according to the working of his power.
- ἐμοὶ τῷ ἐλαχιστοτέρῳ πάντων ἁγίων ἐδόθη ἡ χάρις αὕτη To me, the very least of all the holy ones, this grace was given,
τοῖς ἔθνεσιν εὐαγγελίσασθαι τὸ ἀνεξιχνίαστον πλοῦτος τοῦ Χριστοῦ, to preach to the Gentiles the unfathomable riches of Christ,
- καὶ φωτίσαι πάντας τίς ἡ οἰκονομία τοῦ μυστηρίου and to enlighten everyone as to what is the plan of the mystery
τοῦ ἀποκεκρυμμένου ἀπὸ τῶν αἰώνων ἐν τῷ θεῷ τῷ τὰ πάντα κτίσαντι, hidden through the ages in God, who created all things,
- ἵνα γνωρισθῇ νῦν ταῖς ἀρχαῖς καὶ ταῖς ἐξουσίαις ἐν τοῖς ἐπουρανίοις διὰ τῆς ἐκκλησίας so as to make known now to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly places through the church:
- ἡ πολυποίκιλος σοφία τοῦ θεοῦ, 11κατὰ πρόθεσιν τῶν αἰώνων the manifold wisdom of God, 11according to the purpose of the ages
ἣν ἐποίησεν ἐν τῷ Χριστῷ Ἰησοῦ τῷ κυρίῳ ἡμῶν, which he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord,
- ἐν ᾧ ἔχομεν τὴν παρρησίαν καὶ προσαγωγὴν ἐν πεποιθήσει διὰ τῆς πίστεως αὐτοῦ. in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in him.
